Sunset House Recovery
Sunset House is committed to helping our men develop the skills necessary to lead sober, productive, and serene lives. We encourage personal responsibility and spiritual growth. Based on the Twelve Step Model, our program blends structure with therapy to address the individual’s unique emotional, spiritual, and physical needs. Our goal is to safely and effectively transition our residents back into their communities with all of the tools necessary to maintain long-term, meaningful sobriety.Sunset House is a non-profit, DCF Licensed, Level IV Treatment Program for men who wish to recover from chemical dependency. Our on-site staff includes the Executive Director, Clinical Director and Program Director, Client Services Coordinator, and Resident Managers who oversee the facility at different levels, twenty-four hours a day. We also contract a full team of certified therapists who meet with men both on a group and individual basis. All clients are required to meet with a therapist for weekly sessions, and are assigned treatment plans that address their specific issues. Groups include topics such as spirituality, nutrition, the Twelve Steps, relapse prevention, family relationships, and living sober.
We believe that all men can achieve lasting recovery if they are given the proper opportunities and education. Sunset House is a place to gradually increase personal responsibility for one’s own destiny without the potential dangers of unsupervised living. Early recovery can often be a difficult experience; our program is intended to aid residents at every step of the way.
